The High Plains Energy Campus is planned on roughly 1,500 acres along established transmission and fiber corridors — bringing up to 700 MW of power while keeping the land, and the families who steward it, at the center of how we work.
Overview
The High Plains Energy Campus is a planned large-scale power and digital infrastructure site. The campus combines a 700 MW large-load opportunity with onsite generation and direct fiber access.
From the outset, planning has focused on compatibility with surrounding land uses, protection of nearby environmental features, and ensuring the project delivers long-term fiscal benefit to the community.
The project is designed around a phased path to power. Initial capacity targets 400 MW of grid-supplied power by 2029, with an additional 300 MW of on-site generation targeted by 2030.
Community Benefits
Tax Revenue
The project is structured to deliver substantial long-term public revenue to the host community and surrounding taxing jurisdictions over the life of the campus.
Infrastructure Improvements
Power and site infrastructure required specifically for the project is planned and privately funded as part of development, including transmission interconnection upgrades.
These investments strengthen long-term capacity and reliability in the area beyond the campus itself.
New Jobs
Construction activity is expected to support significant contractor and trade employment during buildout, with permanent on-site operations roles added as each phase enters service.
Ongoing operations also generate continued demand for local service providers, including electrical, HVAC, security, landscaping, and general maintenance.
Community First
Large-load digital infrastructure places relatively limited demand on municipal services compared with residential or retail development — minimal traffic, no impact on classroom sizes, and limited day-to-day public service needs.
